At Victory Christian Academy, students are encouraged and challenged to become life-long learners. Our Common Core-aligned academic program prepares students for the demands of college and professional careers.
Our courses achieve excellence because we employ a wide repertoire of teaching and learning strategies and students are actively involved in the learning process. Our active classroom environments encourage students to engage the content, glean from their peers, and still master the CCLS approved by NYSED.
Besides a rigorous Common-Core rooted curriculum, VCA also offers College Board AP courses to eligible students. The Advanced Placement curriculum offers a demanding introductory college-level course that prepares students not only for the demands of higher-ordered thinking required for college but also for the national AP exams. Students who score a “3” or higher may be eligible for college credit depending on the requirements and policies of individual colleges and universities. Interested students must submit an application to the appropriate department and be interviewed by the AP Coordinator to be considered for the program. parents and students should note that there are fees for each AP exam a student wishes to take.
