MIDDLE SCHOOL 

EARTH AND SPACE

Students will learn about the motions of the Earth, the seasons, the Moon, tides, solar and lunar eclipses, the Sun and its function as the solar system's primary source of light and energy, as well as the planets, asteroids, meteors, comets, and their orbits and the force of gravity that holds everything in place.

LIFE SCIENCE

Life Science is an intermediate level course which incorporates ecology, cellular systems, and  genetics as well as evolution. The course prepares students to continue studying the Living  Environment in high school. In addition, Life Science is designed to develop students’ interest  in pursuing careers within the fields of biology and ecology. The instructor will also be  presenting and discussing the Biblical worldview regarding the origins of life.  

COMPUTER SCIENCE FUNDAMENTALS

This course blends online and "unplugged" non-computer activities to teach students computational thinking, problem solving, programming concepts, and digital citizenship. Students will learn and apply basic concepts of algorithms, loops, and conditionals while developing critical thinking skills. 

COMPUTER SCIENCE DISCOVERIES

Computer Science Discoveries is an introductory computer science course. Mapped to CSTA standards, the course takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as problem-solving, programming, physical computing, user-centered design, and data, while inspiring students as they build their own websites, apps, animations, games, and physical computing systems.
